The event

Five days, one Croisette, a chauffeur who knows the way

Every autumn, Cannes becomes the world capital of duty free and travel retail. From 28 September to 1 October 2026, with the conference opening on Sunday 27 September, the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference takes over the Palais des Festivals and the marquee villages along the Croisette. Close to 3,000 brands — spirits, perfumes and cosmetics, confectionery, fashion, luxury and technology — meet the buyers who fill the shelves of the world’s airports, airlines, cruise lines and border shops. For five intense days, an entire global industry converges on a single seafront.

For everyone taking part, the event poses the same practical problem: moving around Cannes during one of its busiest weeks of the year. Public car parks are full from the morning, the Croisette and the Rue d’Antibes are slowed by crowds and stand deliveries, and the walk between a hotel, the Palais, the Riviera Village and an evening brand dinner eats into a schedule already packed with back-to-back appointments. Add international arrivals at Nice, teams spread across hotels in Antibes, Mougins and Juan-les-Pins, and receptions running late, and the logistics quickly become the weak point of a week that should be about business and relationships.

This is precisely where a private chauffeur who knows Cannes and the Riviera changes everything. At Plug-In Cannes, we work this coast all year round and we drive the full autumn show season — the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Monaco Yacht Show and TFWA: we know the authorised drop-off points around the Palais, the routes that stay usable at peak hours, and the timings that let you arrive on time rather than hoping. Our rates stay strictly fixed during the show — no event surcharge, ever — so you can budget your week to the euro.

TFWA Cannes 2026: dates, sites and access

The two poles of the week

Palais des Festivals

Main exhibition & conference

The beating heart of the show. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, between the Vieux Port and the Croisette, hosts the conference and the main exhibition halls. It is the single most congested point in Cannes for the week of the show: vehicle circulation is regulated, and drop-off zones shift according to the hour and the security perimeter. Our chauffeurs know which approaches stay usable at opening, at midday and at closing, and adapt the route rather than sitting in the traffic on the Croisette.

Riviera Village & Croisette hotels

Marquee villages & evening venues

The Riviera Village and Green Village — the marquee villages set up along the seafront — extend the show onto the Croisette, alongside the palace hotels (Carlton, Martinez, Majestic, JW Marriott) where guests sleep, meet and dine, and where the brand dinners run late. Distances look short but are slow on foot in business attire and with sample bags. A chauffeur on call turns those repeated hops into a few discreet minutes, and waits while you attend a dinner or a reception.

Getting to Cannes for the show

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the natural gateway: around 27 kilometres from Cannes, roughly 30 to 45 minutes by the A8 in normal traffic — but allow a comfortable margin during show week, when international arrivals concentrate on the Saturday and Sunday before the opening. A private transfer costs from €110 and removes every variable: your chauffeur tracks the flight, absorbs any delay and drives you straight to your hotel, your stand or the Palais.

Cannes fills to capacity during TFWA, and many attendees stay in Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Mougins, Mandelieu or even Nice and Monaco. Those daily commutes into a saturated town centre are exactly where a chauffeur earns his place: no parking to find, a drop-off at the door of the Palais, and the same driver who already knows your hotel and your schedule. For teams spread across several towns, we coordinate multiple vehicles under a single point of contact and one company invoice.

One practical warning worth more than any other: do not plan to drive yourself in Cannes during the show. Public car parks are full from early morning, circulation around the Palais and along the Croisette is regulated, and the time lost searching for a space systematically exceeds the time of the journey itself. Every year, the professionals who enjoy the smoothest week are those who decided in advance not to touch a steering wheel — and to keep the same chauffeur across the autumn shows, from the Cannes Yachting Festival to the Monaco Yacht Show and TFWA.

They travelled with us

Show-week clients

We had a driver on call for the whole exhibition, from the airport to the Palais and every brand dinner. In a town where you simply cannot park during TFWA, it changed everything — our team stopped losing time and arrived composed to every meeting.

Markus H.
Regional director, spirits brand

Flight into Nice landed late and the chauffeur was already aware, waiting with a name board. Straight to Cannes, then to the Riviera Village for an afternoon of appointments. That reliability during show week is worth far more than the fare.

Priya S.
Travel retail buyer, Middle East

We hosted two key buyers across the week and had them driven in the S-Class between hotel, Palais and dinners. Same chauffeur throughout, briefed on the whole programme — discreet and impeccable. Invoiced to the company, no awkwardness.

Élodie R.
Key account manager, cosmetics

Brand dinner in Mougins finished well past midnight and the driver was exactly where he said he would be. No surge pricing, no scramble for a taxi on the Croisette. The same rate as any other day of the year, quoted before we booked.

FAQ

TFWA Cannes — your questions

The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2026 takes place at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, with the opening conference on Sunday 27 September and the exhibition running from Monday 28 September to Thursday 1 October 2026. It is the world's leading duty free and travel retail event: close to 3,000 exhibiting brands and several thousand buyers from airports, airlines, cruise lines and border shops worldwide. The show fills the Palais des Festivals but also the Riviera Village and Green Village, the marquee villages set up along the Croisette. The crowds transform Cannes for five days and saturate both traffic and parking around the Palais. We recommend booking your transfers and chauffeur hire as soon as your visit is confirmed, as our vehicles are reserved very quickly for this week.

Our rates remain strictly unchanged during TFWA: no event surcharge, unlike consumer apps and taxis that multiply their prices during Cannes' major shows. A transfer from Nice Airport to Cannes costs €110 in a Tesla Model Y (Electric), €130 in a Mercedes E-Class (Saloon), €160 in a Mercedes V-Class (Van) and €210 in a Mercedes S-Class. A journey within Cannes between your Croisette hotel and the Palais starts at €30, and the Cannes to Monaco run at €180. For exhibitors and delegations moving between meetings, stands and dinners, chauffeur hire is the most suitable option: from €70/hour, with 5-hour packages from €350 and 10-hour packages from €700. All our rates are inclusive of tax and all charges, and known at the time of booking.

This is the challenge our clients raise most often during TFWA. The Palais des Festivals sits at the heart of Cannes, between the Vieux Port and the Croisette, in an area where public car parks fill up from the morning and where traffic is slowed by the show's crowds, stand deliveries and the marquee villages lining the seafront. Driving yourself means losing precious time hunting for a space that simply is not there. Our answer is chauffeur hire: a dedicated driver drops you as close as possible to the Palais entrance, the Riviera Village or your hotel, waits nearby during your meetings and collects you on your signal. You leave your belongings and samples in the vehicle and move between stands, meetings and dinners without ever touching a steering wheel or looking for parking.

Yes, and it is our most requested service during the show. Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is around 27 kilometres from Cannes — 30 to 45 minutes via the A8 in normal conditions, though you should allow a comfortable margin during TFWA week, when international arrivals concentrate on the Saturday and Sunday before the opening. Your chauffeur tracks your flight number in real time, adjusts the pick-up in case of delay at no extra cost, greets you in the arrivals hall with a name board and handles your luggage. The rate is fixed and known at booking: from €110. For delegations and exhibitor teams travelling with equipment and samples, the Mercedes V-Class accommodates up to seven passengers with their luggage, and we coordinate several vehicles for larger groups.

No, never. This is a firm commitment from Plug-In Cannes and one of the main reasons for our professional clientele's loyalty. During TFWA, as during the Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Lions, MIPIM or the Cannes Yachting Festival, our rates remain strictly identical to those charged the rest of the year. It is precisely when consumer apps apply multipliers and taxis become scarce that the value of a committed provider reveals itself. You know the exact price at booking and it will not move, whatever the crowds or the hour of your journey. This pricing predictability is an integral part of the service and allows exhibitors and international buyers alike to budget their show week precisely, with no unpleasant surprises on the expense report.

Yes, this is a frequent request from travel retail brands and exhibitors. We regularly transport clients, buyers and VIP guests on behalf of our partners: greeting at Nice Airport with a name board, transfer to the hotel, drop-off at the Palais entrance or the Riviera Village, shuttle to brand dinners and evening events, and return late at night. The chauffeur is briefed in advance on your guests' names, their schedule and the level of discretion expected. For a key buyer or an executive you are hosting, the Mercedes S-Class offers a setting worthy of the commercial stakes. Invoicing is made directly to your company, sparing you any handling of money in front of your guests and simplifying your show accounting.

Yes, and these connections are very much in demand during TFWA week, because Cannes' hotel capacity saturates and many attendees stay in neighbouring towns. We handle daily journeys to and from Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Mougins, Mandelieu, Nice and Monaco, as well as every connection on the French Riviera. Our rates are fixed on each destination: Nice Airport to Cannes from €110, Cannes to Monaco from €180, for example. For a day combining several meetings between your hotel, the Palais and a dinner in the hinterland, chauffeur hire remains the most flexible and economical option, your driver adapting in real time to how your schedule develops. We also coordinate transport for teams staying across several different locations.

Yes, within the limits of the areas accessible to vehicles, which are regulated during the show. Our chauffeurs know precisely the authorised drop-off points around the Palais des Festivals, access to the Riviera Village along the Croisette and the routes that remain usable at peak hours, when the Boulevard de la Croisette and the Rue d'Antibes are saturated. When booking, tell us the exact location of your meeting, your stand number or the entrance you are heading for: we adapt the approach to leave you as close as possible, which makes a real difference when you are carrying equipment or samples, or are expected at a meeting. This fine knowledge of Cannes' geography and traffic constraints is exactly what sets a local chauffeur apart from a ride simply ordered on an app.

Yes, and it is the option most exhibitors and delegations choose. Rather than stacking up individual rides, multi-day chauffeur hire assigns you a dedicated vehicle and driver for the whole of TFWA, from the Sunday conference to the Thursday close. The chauffeur knows your schedule, your hotels, your stand hours and your dinners, and adapts in real time to the unexpected — a meeting that runs over, a buyer to collect from the airport, a change of restaurant. Packages start at €70/hour, with 5-hour rates from €350 and 10-hour rates from €700, and we offer degressive terms for bookings covering the entire week. One point of contact, a single company invoice and guaranteed availability: you focus on your business, we handle the logistics.

As early as possible, and ideally three to four weeks before the opening. TFWA week concentrates several thousand international professional visitors and a clientele of travel retail executives on Cannes and its surroundings, in an area whose hotel and transport capacity is very limited and already stretched by a dense season of shows. Our vehicles and chauffeurs are booked well in advance by exhibitors, brands and buyers who return every year. For multi-day chauffeur hire — the most requested option — contact us as soon as your stand, meetings or accommodation are confirmed. If your visit is decided late, contact us anyway: we always do our utmost to find a solution, but availability can no longer be guaranteed in the final days before the show.
